Been a Long Time Gone
I will try to do a better job of keeping my blog updated. I certainly have let some time slip between posts. So, how old is Landon now? Isn't he about to go to college? Ha!

Michael and I had a blast on our honeymoon! We spent 3 nights in Vegas and 2 nights in LA. We definitely ate too much and had way too much to drink! But when in Vegas…
We ate at many cool restaurants, such as Jimmy Buffett’s Margaretville, Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar, Quark’s Bar (Star Treck), The Buffet at the Bellagio, and Tony Romas! Okay, Tony Romas was awful but they had prime rib for $6.95.
We also took in two shows. We went to see a stand up comedian and laughed way too much. We also went to see the traditional showgirl act. It is crazy to see women dancing elegant and professional dances topless. Michael had his eyes covered most the time! Okay, we was actually sleeping from boredom!
Michael and I went to a GM test course and got to test drive some really nice cars. Michael got to drive two Hummers on the on the off road course. I got to drive a Cadillac Escalade on the easy off road course. On the performance course, Michael drove a Corvette and I drove a Cadillac
Michael and I didn’t gamble too much. We actually spent one night on the slots! I won big on the
Michael and I drove to LA on Friday. We went to
Michael had booked us the best hotel in
I dragged Michael to an Anaheim Angel’s game. He didn’t want to go, but after some persuading he went! Yeah Right!
Overall- we had the best time of our lives! It is a vacation I will never forget! Thank you Michael for an amazing time!! I love you!

We were newly married and full of excitement... until we missed our connecting flight to Vegas. There had been some bad weather in
However, everything in the end worked out perfectly! I don’t know why Michael takes everything so personal!! Wink, wink!!

My heart was racing! This is the moment. I peeked through the curtains to see Michael, his brother, and my sister standing in the gazebo waiting. It was then my tears begin to form- not because of the rain, but the love I have for Michael. I was ready to walk down and hold his hands.
Ethan and Angela made their way down the aisle with only one minor problem. Ethan did not want to carry the pillow I made him. He wanted to throw the flowers. It was an easy fix- let both Angela and Ethan carry the basket of flowers. However, he fell off the sidewalk and bumped his head. Angela was alright and continued down. When the basket was empty, she started to pick the petals up and put them back in the basket! They were too cute!
After their procession, it was my turn! With both my parents on my side, I walked down the aisle towards Michael. With our luck, the rain stopped for the rest of the night. My sister performed the ceremony. She guided us through our vows and we made our promises. The moment I had envisioned for a whole life time was as amazing. The moment twinkled! Together hand in hand we became not just independent individuals but a team ready to face our future! Michael and Kimberly Roberts!

After a restful nights sleep, I woke up early ready to enjoy my day! We stayed at a B&B, so I started my day with a good breakfast and an ice cold diet coke! After breakfast, my mom, my godparents, Cindi, Doug, and I went to the gazebo to start decorating. It was a hot and sticky morning. The clouds were dark but I was still very optimistic. We had a great time getting the carriage house and gazebo ready for the wedding. Later in the afternoon, we all went to get our make-up and hair done! At the salon, it started to rain. Still no worries!

The day before the big event was here! The guests were arriving from all directions of the country. I was busy running around greeting everyone and having the time of my life. I was just so impressed and touched that they had all come to see Michael and I. Michael’s parents had planned a pizza social for everyone at my parent’s beach house that night. Everyone had such a great time eating pizza and drinking beer. I was so glad that I had this opportunity to visit with everyone. I hadn’t seen some of my guest for years. It was the best place for everyone to mingle before the big day! The weather was hot, but no rain in sight! I kept ignoring the forecast- Tropical Storm Alberto!

My mom, my sister, baby Eli and I made the exciting trip down to
Good bye to another year of teaching! I am that much closer to retirement! The 2005-2006 school year has truly tested me professionally and personally. Before the school year was over I was ready to kick all my students out the door and not look back. However, now that I am at home and looking back I miss them. I think about to the hugs and the questions, and yes, the troubled moments. Even though they tested me, I appreciate how they made me grow and learn. I hope that I passed on my knowledge and love for them. I wish my students the best in life!

With all the changes that our occurring at this moment, Michael and I recently moved into a new place! It may not be ours but it is still nice to be in a house. Izzy and Charlie are particularly fond of their new home. Michael and I are impressed too! Michael’s commute to work takes less than 5 minutes. He is awfully proud of that! I am just looking forward to after the wedding so I can decorate with all my new goodies!
