Unfortunate Timing

We spent a week waiting for my nephew to make his entrance into the world. My departure time was quickly approaching. I knew in my heart I was not going to be around for his birth. I packed my car and cried my tears, and left Georgia on July 24. I returned to Florida with a heavy heart, but I knew I had to continue on. I went to my workshop on Monday when my sister called and told me her water broke. Eli Michael King, not Walter was born on July 25, 2005. He weighs 7lbs 7ounces. Both mom and baby are doing great. I can't wait to see them. Hopefully, Eli won't grow too much till I can get up there (Sept. 1). Ethan is very excited about his new little brother- proof is in his face!

The Race for the Baby

Well, my last week here in GA and I am waiting for my second nephew to make its way into the world! My sister is having contractions but not regularly. Her water is still intact and she is a month early so the midwife is not going to induce labor. Julie was hoping this child would come soon. She is use to early births because Ethan was born a month early. Ethan was born 6 pounds 7 ounces, so he was not a tiny baby. My second nephew doesn’t have a name yet, so I refer to him as Walter. Walter will not be his name. I just needed to call him something. Walter is already up to 6 pounds 9 ounces. Did I mention my sister weighs 128lbs pregnant!!!! She is the cutest pregnant person I have ever seen. (I know I am biases.) I wish he would make an entrance before I leave but that doesn’t look like that will happen. I am okay with that. I want Walter to come when he is ready. I want him to be healthy, first and for most!

My Tribute to Ethan

For those who don't know, Ethan is my nephew. I have spent the summer playing and loving on him. Ethan is 22 months and continually amazes me. We have spent our time outside playing. He loves mowing the grass, digging in the dirt, playing with cars, and watching Tubbies and Barney. I don't even mind having a car seat in my car, because that means I have him with me. I love saying new words. He parrots everything back to you. Going back to Florida will be hard, becaue I will miss out on Ethan and his new little brother!

One week in GA

My summer break is almost up. I've had a good time at home. However, I am ready to return to my life in Florida. I need to get back to a schedule and a diet. I am looking forward to starting a new school year with new students. For once I feel comfortable with running a classroom of students, which means something will happen and the rug will be pulled from underneath me! Let's hope not!

Wedding plans are still a go for June 11, 2006. For those who don't know my plans, I am planning a small wedding in Apalachicola, FL. Michael and I will be married at a bed and breakfast. If you would like to see the location of the wedding, check out www.combshouseinn.com
