My Baby, No More

Remember when you turned 18? Life was high school and all that drama! It is surprising to find out that life is so much more then high school. It is getting closer to my high school reunion then I wish to admit. I wonder "Have a changed since then?" I most certainly have changed, and for the better. From birth to now, I have met so many wonderful people that have shaped my life. For that I am very thankful!
My baby brother is turning that corner in his life. Brian will be 18 years old on Sunday!
I remember when…… he was a toddler and I was tying his shoes. He decided to bite me. Or the times I would make him Crazy Lunches when I was babysitting. Or the time in high school my buddy and I dressed him up and put make up on him. He would have done anything to hang out with me then. Now I have to call and schedule an appointment! Or the day I got off the school bus to find a blue ribbon on our mailbox. Or the Halloween he wore green suede chaps and a vest. Or the time he talked me into taking a raft full of bread out into the ocean. Or the time at McDonalds when some punk teenagers were making fun of him in his Boy Scout uniform. I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and I spouted something back to them. Or the time he was playing at church and ran into a pole. He had such a large black and blue goose egg on his forehead. Or the time he got his black belt in karate. I still brag on him for that!
I could go on for days with my memories of my little brother! I am so lucky to have him in my life! Happy 18th Birthday, Brian! Best Wishes!
