Movies Today
Today I had the opportunity to go to the movies while Michael was at work. I had the choice between "Failure to Launch" and "The Hills Have Eyes". Since Michael does not like horror movies, I decided to go for it and see "The Hills Have Eyes". I love the rush of a terrifying movie. I could never understand why Michael didn’t like that adrenaline rush. However, after today's movie I can understand. This movie wasn't scary or suspenseful! It was ghastly. It was one gory shot after another! I am still upset by the brutal images. I am a big fan of the classic horror movies, such as “Poltergeist”, “The Exorcist”, “Friday the Thirteen”, and “The Amityville Horror.” These movies used subtle tactics to scare their audience. They didn’t need to show the ax to the head or all the blood and guts. We could picture it in our heads, and it was never as graphic as what
